Near Mint	Inked pen with no real signs of use.
Excellent	The pen has been used with no or very minor plate wear and micro-scratches. Full imprints. Perfect to near-perfect color.
Very good	Significant scratches, discoloring, heavy plate wear present. Functional, all parts original. Stil presentable.
User Grade	Any of the following are present: engravings, deep scratches, degraded color, heavy brassing. Working condition.
Parts Pen	While some of the parts of the pen are perfectly fine and usable in repairs, most of the pen is badly damaged.
